The stage prior to flowering is known as pre-bloom, at important levels, it is a key phase, your marijuana plant begins to flower. It requires attention and the application of some products that help the flowering to develop correctly.

In this article we will focus on the aforementioned pre-flowering, where we are going to collect some tips that can come in handy so that we can soon move on to the next stage.

Growing indoors is not an easy task, even if you have all the tools for it. In fact, growing indoors can be more complicated than growing outdoors. The night is another factor to take into account in flowering. Night does not affect your cannabis plant in the same way as day.

FIRST STAGE OF MARIJUANA FLOWERING: PRE-FLOWERING

Pre-flowering corresponds to the moment in which the plants are already grown enough. This means that they are almost ready to begin the process by which they will finally bear fruit, the rich and desired buds. To give you an idea, we will know that it has already grown enough when they occupy a little more than 50% of the arable land.

The phases depend a lot on the type of marijuana plant and the conditions to which it is exposed and whether it is grown indoors or outdoors.

Pre-flowering usually starts from the third or fourth week after the marijuana seed germinates. At that time, your plant will see that need for stretching and it may indicate a lack of nutrients. This usually generates stress in your plant, so the ideal is to subtly reinforce the fertilizer with which you were treating it until then.

We recommend that you apply the LACALVA STRESS TREATMENT fertilizer, since it is a recipe with a balanced NPK. A highly recommended composition for these phase changes in which you need to become stronger and be protected by preventing pests and diseases.

The first application is recommended sprayed/foliar and the following week in a radicular way. For foliar/spray applications, whatever the product, remember to dissolve the fertilizers very well and apply them just when the plants stop receiving light. This is done so that the leaves have well absorbed the fertilizer before the next light exposure and to avoid burns.

In turn, it is advisable to rely on fertilizers high in carbohydrates and sugars to improve soil fertility. With our product SWEET LOLITA SOIL you will increase the qualities of the clay-humic complex and the microbial activity, favoring the desired fertility.

You should not be scared if you do not see significant changes in your marijuana plant. Keep in mind that we are in the root/growth stage before flowering. The results are not something immediate and can take approximately two weeks.

Ideally, you should continue applying accelerators such as GROWTH ACELERATOR, even increasing the dose a little with respect to the growth phase. With this, your marijuana plant will increase significantly in size for days.

If all goes well, you will soon begin to see some white pistils. These are fine white hairs that develop on female plants. Specifically, at the points where the large leaves meet the main stem. These little hairs are what the buds will be in the future. In the case of male plants, these do not produce pistils, but rather bags of pollen.

STAGES OF MARIJUANA FLOWERING: FLOWERING

The marijuana flowering stage corresponding to autoflowering cultivation usually occurs in the fourth week from seed sowing. It lasts approximately 7-8 weeks, although this always depends on the plant and the conditions. In female plants, 12 hours of darkness is convenient, but at the same time they need a large amount of sunlight, 12 hours of light.

The flowering period of autoflowering plants is much shorter than in normal marijuana plants, since they only require about a month and a half two months (at most) to finish flowering, since the seeds germinate.

In some cases it will depend on the variety grown to be the shorter or longer flowering. Everything will depend on the variety of the seed and environmental conditions that occur during cultivation. In our example, the cultivation was carried out during the months of late June, July and August when the summer temperatures and sun help create an ideal atmosphere for growing autoflowering plants, both because of the heat that helps the plants to grow as for the long and sunny days of summer together with the few rains that usually accompany this season of the year.

Once flowering has begun, we can see that the maria plants have a considerable vegetal structure so that they can create large and compact buds of great quality together with a good harvest.

WEEK 1-3 OF THE FLOWERING STAGE IN CANNABIS PLANTS

In the first week of flowering, being the end of the “streching” or stretching of the plant, the first flowers begin to be easily observed at the tips of the branches.

It is worth noting and it is important to take into account the levels of nitrogen that make up our fertilizers to prevent them from becoming saturated with nitrogen, since the plants will create a spiky bud at the beginning of flowering. If this is the case, we must act by doing a little root flushing trying to ensure that the EC levels in the pot are adequate for each stage of the plant’s life.

In relation to the nutrition of marijuana, it is always better to take it separately to be able to provide each plant with its nutritional needs and thus obtain the best possible quality in the flowering of the buds. In the case of wanting to make only one deposit and irrigate all the plants from it, we recommend that you previously take into account those plants that require more nutrients.

At flowering levels, the first thing you will notice is that the plant continues to grow slightly, but everything is slower. There comes a point where it stops and where you will notice changes in the white pistils. Those white pistils will produce the first hints of bud. It will be difficult to notice them, since they do not produce resin or trichomes, so the smell will hardly be noticeable.

To get to this point, in the growth and pre-flowering phase we were applying CARIBBEAN ALGAE SOIL&AIR and GROWTH ACCELERATOR fertilizers. Both served as support for the growth of your plant and obtaining more fertile soil. We mention them because, as flowering is a critical point and where the plant will not grow much more, the dose of these two fertilizers should be lowered due to their power.

Although you can continue to use GROWTH ACCELERATOR well into the fourth week of flowering, CARIBBEAN ALGAE SOIL&AIR should not be applied beyond 2-3 weeks from the start of flowering.

Instead, we increased the SWEET LOLITA SOIL and also added a new product: JAMAICAN BLOOM 28-25. It is an optimized recipe to increase flowering. This means that it favors the concentration of resin and, with it, the formation of heavier buds. This product will be applied until practically the end of the flowering period.

WEEK 4-7 OF THE FLOWERING STAGE IN CANNABIS PLANTS

From the fourth week of flowering, if we take good care of it, place it in a very sunny place and give it a soil rich in nutrients, it will not ask for much more than a fattening of buds (Bazooka Bloom) or a flowering fertilizer (Jamaican Bloom) from the 2nd month.

We can see how the buds are growing uninterrupted little by little getting fat without many problems and without any plague that could reduce their production or final quality.

As of this week, the nutrient levels have been increased following the recommendations of the Madame Grow cultivation table.

At this time your plants will need special attention. The buds begin to bloom considerably and the plants produce trichomes. You will notice how the pistils begin to darken, taking on a brown color.

The smell will be a characteristic that will indicate that we are on the right track. Being in a phase of bud production, again the stress can appear again. You will notice it because the leaves begin to fall or turn yellowish. You have to change the light cycle.

To counteract, we reapply anti-stress foliar fertilization with LACALVA STRESS TREATMENT for a couple of weeks. At levels of micro and macro elements, we will ensure that the plant remains strong and thus apply other stronger fertilizers to obtain heavy and powerful buds.

For example, BAZOOKA BLOOM K30 could be translated as the ultimate fertilizer to get the heaviest and most aromatic buds. It is applied in this last stage of flowering and during the root washing phase. From its application we will obtain the final push to achieve an optimal production of buds. Due to its power, it is advisable to follow a controlled dose according to the moment in which the plant is found.
