Ghost Tag (German Fem Line) by Black Elephant Genetics comes from a Californian lineage built in two steps. First, Biscotti, which brings compact flowers and a dough and spice background, was combined with Jealousy, responsible for the fuel notes and vigorous side branching. That combination was then crossed with Sherb Bx, a backcrossed line that reinforces resin production. The result is a balanced hybrid (50% indica / 50% sativa) whose character changes greatly with the environment: discreet indoors and large in the open air.

Indoor cultivation

Indoors it stays at 70-90 cm, one of the most compact sizes in the German Fem Line, which makes it very practical in spaces with limited height. As it is a short plant, the most effective approach is to make use of its side branching: topping during growth and a SCROG net spread the branches horizontally and fill the surface with many well-lit tops. After 8-10 weeks of flowering it can yield up to 500 g/m². We recommend a well-draining substrate, regular pH control (6.0-6.5 in soil), removing leaves that shade the inside of the plant and an activated carbon filter for its strong diesel aroma.

Outdoor cultivation

Outdoors it changes scale completely: it reaches 200-250 cm and yields 500-600 g per plant. It needs a spacious spot with direct sun for much of the day, and stakes or a support structure able to hold a plant of that size. It is harvested in mid-October, so it performs best in temperate and warm climates with dry autumns; with cool nights, some plants may show violet tones in their leaves and flowers.

Aroma and flavour

The first thing you notice is an intense diesel scent, inherited from its fuel-heavy side. A note of mint soon appears, freshening the whole bouquet and making it lighter. In the final phase a touch of black pepper is added, and in the background lies the sweetness of freshly baked cookie that rounds off the profile.
