Hawaiian Snow: the tropical sativa with a citrus and spicy aroma
Hawaiian Snow (German Fem Line) by Black Elephant Genetics brings together two warm-climate sativa traditions: a Hawaiian sativa, selected over years on the islands, and an old line from Laos, in Southeast Asia. The result is a feminized, clearly sativa-dominant (80%) strain: tall and vigorous, with a Christmas-tree shape, long resinous flowers and a tropical, citrus aroma over a spicy base.
Why choose Hawaiian Snow
✓ Feminized: every plant will be a productive female, with no males to identify.
✓ Sativa-dominant: a tall, well-branched structure with long flower spears.
✓ 11-12 week flowering: a contained cycle for a sativa of its lineage.
✓ Heavy yield: up to 700 g/m² indoors and up to 1200 g/plant outdoors.
✓ Tropical aroma: tropical fruit and lemon over an earthy, spicy base.
Indoor cultivation
Develops a 1-1.5 m plant with a dominant central top and long side branches, and stretches strongly after the switch to flowering. To control its height we recommend LST from the vegetative stage, opening up the plant so every top gets light, and switching to flowering early if space is limited; a SCROG net helps keep an even canopy. It yields 600-700 g/m² after 11-12 weeks of flowering. For maximum results we recommend a high-quality airy substrate, regular pH control (6.0-6.5 in soil), good ventilation and low humidity in the final weeks, when the flowers gain weight.
Outdoor cultivation
Outdoors it reaches 1.7-2.2 m and can yield between 1000 and 1200 g per plant. It performs best in warm, sunny and stable climates, Mediterranean or subtropical, and is harvested in late October, so it appreciates a mild, dry autumn. Choose a well-ventilated spot with direct sun for much of the day and check the inside of the flowers during ripening.
Aroma and flavour
A bright, complex profile: tropical fruit and citrus notes dominate from the start, with a fresh, zesty lemon. Underneath lies an earthy, spicy base with a touch of eucalyptus and a slightly metallic hint typical of sativas, which gains depth in the final weeks of flowering.

Frequently asked questions
Is it difficult to grow?
It has a medium difficulty level: its long flowering and tendency to stretch call for some patience and height control. With LST and good ventilation it is a very productive sativa.
How much indoor space does it need?
With a final height of 1-1.5 m, a 100x100 cm grow tent with good headroom is advisable; LST and an early switch to flowering help keep it within the available space.
How should I store them until sowing?
In a cool, dry and dark place, ideally in the fridge inside an airtight container. This preserves their germination power for a long time.
