Critical White Widow by Black Elephant Genetics crosses Critical with White Widow, the hybrid born in the Netherlands that owes its name to the white layer of resin covering its flowers. Critical provides the structure and the productive capacity; White Widow brings that abundant resin and a more delicate fragrance. The result is an indica-dominant feminized strain (70% indica / 30% sativa), compact and sturdy indoors, that flowers in 55 days and unfolds a fruity, floral aroma rarely found in the Critical family.

Indoor cultivation

Indoors it shows its most indica side: it grows compact and sturdy, with short internodes and a solid structure that supports dense, resin-coated flowers. It works well both in a sea of green, with several small single-cola plants, and with fewer plants topped and opened up with LST, depending on the space available. After 55 days of flowering it can reach up to 500 g/m². We advise a light, airy substrate, keeping the irrigation water pH between 6.0 and 6.5 in soil, removing the leaves that shade the central flowers in the second half of flowering and a good extraction system with an activated carbon filter, as the aroma becomes very intense in the final phase.

Outdoor cultivation

Outdoors it transforms: with room for its roots it can easily outgrow a person and reach up to 3 m, yielding 800 g per plant. It adapts well to different substrates and particularly appreciates soil enriched with guano, which drives growth and flower bulking. Plant it in full sun, set up stakes or a net for the upper branches before the plant shoots up and leave open space around it so the wind can dry the flowers after every rain.

Aroma and flavour

Its profile moves away from the earthy register typical of the Critical family towards sweet fruit and flowers. During flowering a fruity, floral aroma dominates, soft and enveloping, over a sweet and slightly spicy background reminiscent of ripe fruit. After drying it gains definition and the floral side becomes the leading note, with the fruit in support.
