If you hear talk of \u00abmarijuana\u00bb, surely your mind will instantly project a sharp image: its characteristic leaf, because no one is unaware that this is the part of the archiconocida plante that represents it globally. So much so that in any culture, country or society throughout the world, any individual is able to recognize with a simple glance the\u00a0marijuana plant\u00a0by the shape of its leaves.<\/span><\/p>\n

This article will focus on the aesthetic aspect of the marijuana leaf as a recognizable image of it and its symbolism. Thus, the leaf, as such, by definition, is each of the parts,\u00a0generally green, flat and thin, that are born at the end of the branches or in the stems of the plants.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although it is true that the structure of the leaf of marijuana in itself considered is very similar to the rest of leaves of the plants in general, the leaf of marijuana has an own drawing and only very characteristic. Within this marked profile, there are three main types of plants by virtue of the shape of their leaves: Sativa, Indica and Ruderalis. <\/span><\/p>\n

These sub-types of leaf maintain the essence of the form of the leaf of marijuana, although they have certain differences and own characteristics, that will be object of development in later publications.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nevertheless, in spite of its historical incidence (numerous personalities throughout history in different times have been related to the plant of marijuana and its consumption, as Joan of Arc, William Shakespeare, Queen Victoria or the philosopher Descartes among many others), it is perhaps not until the twentieth century in which the image of the leaf of marijuana becomes totally universal, due to the diffusion of the same one like unequivocal symbol of the culture rastafari, extended and expanded worldwide by the famous musician and singer of reggae Bob Marley, culture that worships\u00a0la marihuana, grass or ganja as they denominate it, like something sacred, forming part of their consumption of a religious ritual.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nevertheless the previous thing, apart from these movements (today in decadence) the certain thing is that the image of the leaf of marijuana is totally rooted in our society, even being used without any type of background and merely with aesthetic aims, so that it is habitual to find it in fashion prints in common clothes of dress, even, as curious data, recently an Estonian city called Kanepi, has chosen its flag, using the leaf of marijuana like symbol of the same one.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, at present, we can affirm that the leaf of marijuana is unquestionable and perfectly recognizable by practically any person, independently of its nationality or culture, having connotations of all nature, being thus that anyone to whom this plant is mentioned will automatically think in the form of its leaf, independently of its opinion on its consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n
